Meet the Counselor

Miranda Owens, MS, LPC-I

I am so excited to be a part of Forest Creek Elementary School.  I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you and your children to make sure that this is a successful year!

I graduated in 2002 from Baylor University with a Bachelors of Music Education.  After teaching for 9 years, I went back to school, while still teaching full time.  In 2012, I earned my Masters in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  This will be my third year at Forest Creek and my 14th year in education.

It is my goal to make sure that all students are equipped to succeed in school and throughout life.  I am here to support each child academically, emotionally, and socially. I want to help the students become well rounded individuals that are able to handle whatever situation they may face.  I work closely with all the staff at Forest Creek to make sure that the students are achieving their goals and working towards becoming kind, caring, productive individuals.

I truly believe that the most important part of the counseling process is the relationship, and I strive to build a positive relationship with each person I come in contact with.  Please feel free to contact me anytime, either in person, by phone, or e-mail if you have any concerns about your child’s social or emotional needs.

Sincerely,

Miranda Owens, MS, LPC-I
