Red Ribbon Week Contests



POSTER CONTEST
Grades K-3


Students may use any size poster or any medium to convey their theme.


THEMES: Students may choose any of these themes for their poster:

Stop Bullying Now: Speak Up, Reach Out, Be a Friend
Say Peace Out to Drugs
Take a Stand for a Drug Free Land
Say Yes to a Healthy Heart and Body
Too Cool to do Drugs
Sock it to Drugs

The deadline to submit posters is Monday, October 27th.  Posters should be turned in to the student’s classroom teacher.  Student’s name, teacher and grade must be listed on the back of the poster to qualify.
                                                                                                                                                              

ESSAY CONTEST
Grades 4 and 5


THEMES: Students may choose any of these themes for their essay:

Stop Bullying Now: Speak Up, Reach Out, Be a Friend
Say Peace Out to Drugs
Take a Stand for a Drug Free Land
Say Yes to a Healthy Heart and Body
Too Cool to do Drugs
Sock it to Drugs

Your essay entry should:
  • Be ½ to 1 page long
  • Focus on one of the above themes
  • Give details or examples to support the theme
  • Be organized and use good choice words


The deadline to submit your essay is Monday, October 27th.  Essays should be turned in to the student’s classroom teacher.  Student’s name, teacher and grade must be listed on the back of the essay to qualify.

Monday
“Say Peace Out to Drugs” - wear tie dye
The CRHS football players will be signing autographs during lunch
** Make sure to bring a pen or pencil to lunch
Tuesday
“Too Cool to do Drugs” – wear sunglasses
The CRHS cheerleaders will be at each entrance handing out goodies
Wednesday
“Say Yes to a Healthy Heart and Body” – wear anything and everything RED
The Round Rock Fire Department will hold an Assembly
Thursday
“I Picture Myself Without Drugs” – wear your school picture clothes
The CRHS cheerleaders will be at each entrance handing out goodies
Friday
“Sock it To Drugs” – wear crazy socks


The CRHS football players will be at each entrance handing out goodies
